The busiest trade gateway in the US is on track to having one of it’s best years on record despite the volatility introduced by President Donald Trump’s trade war.
The Port of Los Angeles handled 9,447,731 container units through November, already besting last year’s total volumes by 1%. Even so, container volumes fell 12% in November compared to the same month in 2024, when importers were rushing goods in ahead of the tariffs that Trump promised during his campaign.
